Eventually after living here a year now, I've come to appreciate the short distances one has to travel in Chennai to get from point A to B. After the bay area traffic, and long drives down 101 and 280 just to get for dinner or lunch, I love the fact that I'm home in 7 mts or, if its "far" away 15 mts! And let me say, fly private! :)

Catching up with your blog. I am a bay area-ite thinking of r2i-ing. I hear that it takes forever to go from anywhere to anywhere in Bangalore.
Is Chennai really good that way? Is this blog still true? :)

It is definitely true. Chennai is nothing like Bangalore - it is true that traveling in Bangalore is a nightmare. Not so in Chennai. I cannot, in all honesty, say you will enjoy the commute (the roads suck!), but the travel time is extremely do-able.
